Limitation of groundwater resources and high demand of the mining industry for water will be create Huge challenges in securing the survival of the industry's operations in the future. One of the important and insensible aspects water losses in the mines is evaporation from open water surfaces, and even wastewater tailings dams that it is out of reach a large amount of this precious capital each year. In this research, in order to prevent evaporation of water and tailings dam wastewater of Sarcheshmeh copper mine was designed and built Unoconcrete floating cover. After preparing, 36 units of Unoconcrete coatings were transferred to research ponds in the vicinity of Sarcheshmeh tailing dam and then the amount of evaporation reduction of coatings was measured for two months from 2016/09/11 to 2016/11/11.The results obtained showed that the performance coatings in evaporation reduction of wastewater is more than 89%. Finally, due to the durability and performance of Unoconcrete in reduce evaporation, these coatings can be considered as a successful plan to cover water reservoirs of Sarcheshme copper complex.
