Assessing Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Dust Storm in the south and south west of Iran .

Iran to its geographical location and climatic conditions has been grappling with dust storms, but dust concentration and frequency of occurrence of this phenomenon in recent years greatly expanded. So that normal conditions and everyday life of the people in the region have suffered serious hazards. In this study the temporal distributions dust storms of Khozestan province and is recorded in five synoptic stations inclusive: Ahvaz, Abadan, Aghajari, Safi-Abad and Mahshahr have been analyzed during 2000 and 2015 years. The results showed that, overall in total of 1507 cases dust storms recorded. Ahvas station with 509 cases (%37) and Aghajari station with 156 cases (%10), in order have had most and least recording dust storms. In Khozestan province the most dust storm events recorded in spring and summer seasons. On the other hand, in autumn and winter, Ahvaz more than other stations were affected by dust events and Safiabad and Dezful have the lowest recoding events in this seasons. In all stations, in June, is recorded the most dust storms. Against, Ahvas and Abadan in December and other stations in November have had the least recording dust storm events.
